By accessing or using fpod, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
1. Service Description
fpod is a minimalist, secure text synchronization service providing a WebDAV and S3 sync pipeline. It is designed exclusively for text-based data (notes, configurations, dotfiles) and lightweight images. It is not intended for large media storage or general file hosting.
2. Usage Limits and Fair Use
Users must adhere to the strictly defined storage quotas (32MB Core Text Vault, plus 1024MB for the image library). These are hard limits designed to maintain system stability. Attempting to bypass these limits, utilizing the service to host illegal content, distributing malware, or automating abusive API requests will result in immediate and permanent account termination without refund.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. Files under /fvault are client-side encrypted with keys held only by you: if you lose your master passphrase or client-side encryption keys, those files become mathematically unrecoverable, and we cannot bypass the encryption to retrieve them for you. Other paths are server-side encrypted at rest and are not affected by the loss of a client-side key.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
fpod is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty of any kind. While we care deeply about system reliability and data durability, we are not legally liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. You are strongly encouraged to maintain local backups of your notes and files.
5. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service with or without notice. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
